Whether you have a cell phone, land line or both, there are emergency phone numbers you should always have on it. It is impossible to predict every type of emergency that can arise, but you can have the most commonly used emergency numbers to access help as quickly as possible.

Write these down and post them near the land line, program them into a programmable phone and cell phone. You will have the help you need without having to search for the numbers.

Having these numbers handy will save time. NOTE: In a real emergency your first choice for an emergency call will still be 911. These emergency numbers will not replace a life-saving call to 911.

The numbers recommended below are not used every day. BUT, having them handy will mean you are ready to deal with an emergency situation should it present itself.

Make it easy for emergency responders to find your family contact when they need to. Create an ICE contact on your phone and label them separately .You could label the as My Husband, My Sister, My Mum, My Husbands Work, My Doctor and the list goes. This will make it easier for the Emergency responders to know whom they are actually talking to.

Having this number handy is important if you have your kids at a daycare center. You may need to call if you are running late to pick them up or if you need to make a general inquiry.

Having a baby sitter number handy can help if you need to go to a without your child.

It’s good to have this number in your contact just in case you are out of town and have a non-emergency medical issue. It’s would be a good thing to access your information through your family Doctor. They may be able to give you more insight into your problem by weighing your symptoms against your historical medical files and profile.

Having your credit card company’s emergency hotline number handy can prove invaluable. If your credit card is missing, depending on the particular state law, you might be liable for an amount of money spend before you are able to report the theft. Your card company could eliminate that cost if you can make the report quickly.
